Ariana Grande’s new album ‘Positions’ is all about breaking new boundaries. Ariana released her sixth studio album on October 30th, and it had all her fans raving. I have been a fan of Ariana Grande since she first starred in the Nickelodeon show Victorious. I was very excited to hear that she was releasing new music to brighten up this year. Here is my honest review of some of my favorite songs from this beautiful album.
“shut up”
Ariana opens track 1 on the album, titled “shut up”, with some soothing strings. This song made me imagine Ariana as a Disney princess. Ariana made “shut up” sound so magical the way she sang in tune with the music.
“off the table”
My next favorite song on ‘Positions’ would have to be “off the table” featuring The Weekend. The way Ariana and The Weekend’s voices flow perfectly together in this song amazes me every time I listen to it.
“positions”
Another one of my favorites of this album is “positions”. This track was the first single released before the album dropped and I have been obsessed with it ever since. This song is so catchy, and it has been stuck in my head for the last few weeks, but I love it.
“pov”
Lastly, my number one top favorite on ‘Positions’ is “pov”. This song honestly made me cry when I first heard it. Grande talks about how she wants her significant other to love her for all her pretty and ugly too and she would love to see herself the way her partner sees her, aka from their point of view. I think the lyrics in this song are so beautiful and it was the perfect way to conclude her album.
Overall, I would have to rate ‘Positions’ a 10 out of 10! Although I have a few favorites on the album, there was not a single song I skipped over. If you have not yet, stream ‘Positions’!
