Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and from the looks of it, everyone seems to be in search of a valentine. Whether your valentine is your significant other or your best friend, there are ways to celebrate the love day without the pressure of feeling like you have to have a valentine.

First thing first, love yourself. Treat yourself to some self care, whether it’s binge watching netflix or going to do some pampering–have fun. Instead of expecting something from someone else, gift yourself. Celebrate the love day, loving on you.

Enjoy the presence of your friends and family. I feel like the pressure is always on for everyone to have a significant other, specifically for this day, and that is not the case at all. Go do something fun with your friends or catch up with your family! Go out, have fun, live a little. February 14th is on a Friday this year, so no excuses.

If you want to make extra coins and you enjoy children, maybe you could pick up a babysitting gig for a couple. I’m sure there are a few individuals out there in search for a babysitter specifically for Valentine’s Day.

These are just a few suggestions, but do what makes you happy if you choose to celebrate the holiday. If you choose not to celebrate, don’t feel guilty or feel as if you have to. Valentines day has always been a holiday that has come with a lot of overrated pressures. So, go do you sis! Have fun! Enjoy your day! Remember to not only dedicate this day to show love to yourself or anyone else, but show love everyday, self care often, and continue to love on yourself!

Happy Valentines Day
