  • Nightlight Wallflower Plug In (Bath & Body Works): This product is very convenient for when you want to freshen up your space. This nightlight wallflower includes a light, however, there is no switch to turn off this function. We appreciate the constant illumination, but it can potentially use up more energy than intended. Bath & Body Works also included the scent Eucalyptus Mint in our survival kit. This fragrance is a favorite to calm down, relax, and de-stress. Overall, this product is very chic and minimalistic, and safer in comparison to burning a candle.

  • Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion (L’Oréal): This bronzing lotion is very hydrating and very moisturizing for the skin. The product is advertised that it’s Vitamin E ingredient helps to even out the tan, without leaving streaks, which we found to be true. A little goes a long way with this product, and it’s perfect for layering to deepen the shade slightly. It’s very natural and has a wonderful smell and texture to it.

  • Frank’s RedHot: The pouch given with this product is very convenient for purses and backpacks, and the hot sauce is delicious. It has a great seasoning and flavor which accentuates the taste of your food without it being spicier than any other hot sauce. This product is also very good with red beans and rice.

  • Drink Testing Kit (Sabre): We received two different products from Sabre, and they are very small and compact. The design of this kit is perfect for your pocket, clutch, or purse. The given directions and science behind this product is very simple. We would prefer if the package was re-sealable to maintain the purity, or cleanliness, of the product. Overall, we are not for certain if this test is optimal because we don’t have access to GHBs or other drugs that would activate this product. Regardless, Sabre is a trustworthy company, and it is just better to be safe than sorry, especially as a young adult.

  • Personal Alarms (Sabre): The second product we received from Sabre were two different types of personal alarms – one was a keychain design, and another was a clip-on. They are both very simple and modern. Unfortunately, the clip-on product that we received did not work, but we are sure that once the batteries are replaced it would. When testing the keychain, the release was somewhat hard to pull, but that is good to prevent false alarms. The product is advertised to have a 120 dB dual siren alarm that can be heard up to 600 feet away. So, it is loud, and can cause potential damage to the ears. Overall, the device’s mechanism and design are very simple and effective. The keychain is designed to easily grab and pull when a situation arises.
