In honor of World Vegan Month this November, I have gathered a list of some of the best and most well-known vegan-friendly restaurants here in Denton, Texas. As someone who has been a vegetarian for nearly four years and recently delved into veganism, I have quickly found out that there are a lot of assumptions about vegans not being able to eat out. Here are five vegan-friendly restaurants that I encourage anyone with any diet or lifestyle to try.
1. The Bowllery
Known for their noodle and rice bowls, The Bowllery, is an Asian Fusion restaurant boasting a menu full of organic, fresh, antibiotic free, gluten free, and yes, vegan options. In addition, they also offer a variety of different juices, smoothies, and loose leaf teas.

2. Seven Mile Cafe
Seven Mile Café is a breakfast restaurant offering American and vegan breakfast until 2:00 pm on weekdays and 3:00 pm on weekends. Featuring a large breakfast menu with plenty of vegan options and an espresso bar, Seven Mile Café is a breakfast lover’s dream.

Spiral Café is a small chain of vegan restaurants, with the Denton location opening this past August. The restaurant features an expansive menu of vegan dishes in a diner-style setting.

Thai Square is a traditional Thai restaurant serving curries, noodles, and several different Thai entrees, each of which can easily be made vegan if they aren’t already plant-based.

Viet Bites offers authentic Vietnamese food including pho, Vietnamese sandwiches, and bubble tea. The restaurant also features outdoor dining and a casual environment.
