I feel a pull from a hundred different directions

Every place feels like a maybe-home

but then what is home feels like nothing at all

Am I connected to the world?

Or do I just drift?

like a fallen leaf on water

I’ve been so many places

snowy mountains in the north

rock strewn beaches in hidden coves

There’s so many places to go still

moss covered forests with bubbling streams

red deserts and trees brushing the clouds

It is a wide world waiting

and it will come eventually but for now

A yearning to be everywhere and anywhere but here

exists within me

and it will not exist quietly or comfortably

It screams for action

to walk until my feet bleed and see everything I can until

I cry

Escape is what I really want

from brick and steel and glass

I want the entire earth to feel like my home

and one day it will.
