5 Holiday Gift Ideas for that Guy You Just Started Dating

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNT chapter.

Alright boys and girls, it’s the holiday season, and remember what we were told when we were kids, “it’s better to give then receive.” Well, we all know that’s not true, but here are 5 low-pressure, generic but thoughtful, not-trying-too-hard, gift ideas for the guy you just started seeing.

A Watch

You can’t really go wrong with a watch for the holidays!

Concert Tickets

Get him tickets to see Drake, Travis Scott or whoever his favorite artist is for the holidays and he’ll lose his mind. Getting him concert tickets also shows how well you have gotten to know him in such a short time and that you think the two of you will still be together by the time of the concert.

Your Favorite Cologne

Cologne is one of the more expensive things on this list, but he doesn’t know that. Guys tend to get weird if the gift you get them your first Christmas/Hanukkah together is really expensive, so it’s a good thing they don’t know the difference between Walmart brand cologne and Yves Saint Laurent cologne. And let’s be honest, this is really a gift for you, not him. There is nothing better than stealing his hoodie and it smelling like that cologne you love.

Clothes

Guys are really easy to shop for, it doesn’t take much: a Nike or Adidas something and he’ll be happy. Just go through his closet, like nosey significant others always do, and get a feel for his style, clothing and shoe sizes. Honestly, this is also just another gift for you low-key. You’re buying him clothes that you’re going to steal later.

Game Tickets

Get him tickets to see his favorite team whether its football, hockey, basketball, or baseball and he’ll pretty-much love you forever.

She is currently pursuing two degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She is also pursuing two minors, one in Marketing and the other in Photography, with the hopes of one day becoming a print and digital reporter, more specifically, a fashion writer, and then getting promoted to fashion editor. However, her ultimate goal is editor-in-chief.
