3 Simple Tips to Help You Reach Your Goals

1. Build confidence

When you set a goal, believe that you are capable of achieving it and constantly reaffirm yourself. People build their confidence in different ways, but I find positive self-talk to be very beneficial. It can be a slow process, but it can help to compliment yourself everyday, or do something you’re afraid of.

2. Trust yourself

The relationship you have with yourself is one of the most important relationships you’ll ever have. Treat yourself like you would a friend. When you make a promise to yourself, keep it. Example: say you wanna go to the gym 3 times a week and maintain a healthy diet. If on the first day you skip the gym, you won’t believe that you’ll stick to it the next time you say you want to go to the gym. A good resolution to this would be to set small, achievable goals everyday, and build your faith in yourself.

3. Be kind to yourself

Know that it isn’t a race. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you aren’t exactly where you want to be. Take a break, laugh, spend time with loved ones, and be thankful for where you are now. You are not going to be the best version of yourself everyday. All that matters is that you try your best to do better the next day. Be kind to yourself when you fail. Reward yourself when you succeed, and try not to take anything too seriously. Know that you are enough, and you WILL get there eventually.
