Jon Pardi with special guests Brothers Osborne were quite the act at Lancaster Event Center last Thursday night after inclement whether required the concert be moved indoors. Pardi, who is most known for his top singles, “Missin You Crazy” and “Up All Night,” was a hit amongst fans who attended the annual homecoming concert sponsored by the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

The concert started at 8 p.m. and was free to the public, but by the time 9:30 rolled around the concert was so packed with people that Lancaster Event Center had to deny people entry because they were over capacity.

Jon Pardi is fairly new as country singers go. His first album was released in January of 2014 and from there he’s been playing shows and traveling trying to get his name out. Pardi is most known for his on-stage charisma and accessibility, his polished yet raucous sound and his easy-way of gaining fans wherever he goes with his infectious music.

Before starting his 2015 tour, Pardi decided to pay good old Nebraska a visit. He easily stole the show with his infectious guitar beats and harmonious melodies. Everybody was jamming along and having a good time. Laughter, camera flashes and people singing while dancing were just part of the entertaining activities going on.

The concert was sponsored by KX 96.9, along with ASUN Student Government, the Residence Hall Association, Student Involvement, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and Burr-Fedde Association of Resident Members. Thanks to these wonderful sponsors, our homecoming week was filled with a whole lot of Pardi.
