Not going anywhere fun and exciting over spring break? Don’t worry! It’s nothing to beat yourself up over. Spring break is all about freshening up your life and enjoying time off from stress and responsibilities. Check out these feel-good spring break ideas you can do to enjoy yourself at home!

Give your room a makeover

It’s spring so why not participate in a little spring cleaning? It’s the perfect time to clean out your closet and donate any clothes that don’t fit your college style! Bring home all your heavy winter clothes from college, decide what to donate, and then pack up all your spring/summer clothes to bring back with you! Rearranging the furniture in your room is also a great way to spice up your life. Different room layouts, updated pictures, new rugs and bright comforters are easy ways to freshen up your room.

Home spa day

Spending all day relaxing and pampering yourself sound like a perfect day? Instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money at some upscale spa, create a relaxing home spa experience for yourself! Allowing yourself to be pampered actually has many stress relieving benefits, and as college students, we all could use a little stress relief! Find a time and place in your house where you will have some uninterrupted “me time”. Pick some soothing music, lavender candles, and your favorite bubble bath. Body scrubs, conditioning treatments, purifying masques, and moisturizing body butters are just a few products you can use during your relaxing spa day. It is also a great time to try out some of those interesting finds on Pinterest!

Brunch date

What’s better than sleeping late? Sleeping in late and having a leisurely brunch with your girlfriends! One morning, instead of spending more money on food invite your friends over and have fun making a delicious brunch together. It’s always a fun cooking with your besties. This is the perfect time to try out those yummy looking recipes you’ve been wanting to try but just didn’t have the supplies or motivation. Stuffed French toast, Belgian waffles, spinach and bacon quiche, frittata, and banana nut bread are just a few scrumptious ideas to try.

Read a great book

While reading for a class can be annoying and boring, reading on your own terms can be incredibly enjoyable. Finding the time to read for pleasure as a college student can be a tough, but spring break provides you with a perfect opportunity to whip out that romance or mystery novel you’ve been wanting to read all year. There are many quality reading lists you can search for online for book ideas. “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green, “When You Reach Me” by Rebecca Stead, and any book by Sarah Dessen are excellent choices no matter your taste.

Watch your favorite TV show

Many college students, who are involved and really put in an effort academically, barely have time to breathe, let alone spend time staying up-to-date on their favorite TV shows. Over spring break, take the time to relax and clean out your overcrowded DVR list by catching up on your guilty TV series pleasure. Don’t have any shows recorded or a favorite TV series? Make use of Hulu or Netflix. It’s a pefect opportunity to watch that TV series you’ve always secretly wanted to watch or the one that everyone is always raving about! Invite some girls over to watch “One Tree Hill” or invite your boyfriend over and spend the day watching “Walking Dead”!
