HC: What’s your favorite part about being a Husker?
Pat: I like being close to home, and going back to get a good meal.
HC: What do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies/interests?
Pat: I play basketball, and watch a lot of Netflix…a lot.
HC: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go…and why?
Pat: Australia, because I like their goofy accents…and kangaroos.
HC: What’s your worst fear?
Pat: Drowning. When I was 3, during swim lessons, the instructor took a kid all the way down to the end of the pool, so I wanted to do the same…but by myself. I thought I’d be cool and just jump in, but it ended up not working so well and some fully dressed parent had to save me. I’ve been terrified ever since, even though I worked as a life guard. Ironic.
HC: Describe your dream girl.
Pat: Well, she has to be able to hold a conversation. Looks aren’t that important, but I mean…I have to be attracted to her. I like girls who have a good sense of humor, but are girly girls—girls who take care of themselves, but who aren’t high maintenance.
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Pat: I’d like to be out of Nebraska, living somewhere in the West, with a wife and kids probably. I’d like to have a job in my field too, particularly working for Kiewit.
HC: If you could change something about yourself, would you? And what would it be?
Pat: My ugly face and my extreme case of awkwardness.
HC: Halloween is coming up shortly! Any costumes planned?
Pat: I’m thinking either a Disney movie character or my roommates and I might be some of the cast of Zoolander.
HC: Any other interesting facts we should know about you?
Pat: I told you, I’m not very interesting.
