A day dedicated to chocolate? What more could one girl ask for. National Chocolate day is annually observed on October 28th as a day to appreciate one of America’s flavors of choice. As a way to get into the spirit of what I consider one of the best celebrations on the calendar, here are some fun figures about chocolate:

·      The smell of chocolate helps increase theta brainwaves in your mind, which generates relaxation.

·      To produce one pound of chocolate, about 400 cocoa beans are needed.

·      The person, who invented the chocolate chip cookie, sold their idea to Nestle in trade of a lifetime supply of chocolate.

·      Dark chocolate in moderation can help reduce the risk of heart disease.

·      Do not bring your pet cat or dog around chocolate. It could sicken or even kill them.

·      Americans collectively eat 100 pounds of chocolate every second.

You can celebrate this day with:

·      Chocolate chip cookies

·      Chocolate cake

·      Chocolate shake

·      Chocolate fudge

·      Chocolate ice cream

The list can go on and on. If you are a chocolate lover like me, find a way to celebrate National Chocolate Day.  Join in the conversation on social media with #NationalChocolateDay and enjoy this absolutely lovely day!
