It’s No Shave November! This often-comical event has turned into something bigger, though. Movember is responsible for the many moustaches you’ll be seeing around this month. With these Mo’s, men hope to raise awareness for several men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer. The funds raised during Movember helps with awareness, education, surviviorship, and research.

Men start November 1st clean shaven and with the support of their Mo Sistas, Mo Bros groom their way into moustache finery. By the end of the month, Mo Bros become walking, talking advertisements, as their moustaches often spark conversations about the issue of men’s health. From it’s beginning 30 members in Melbourne, Australia to hundreds of thousands participating now, Movember hopes to change common misconceptions about men’s health, diagnoses, and treatments. In 2011, over 854,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas raised $126.3 million dollars to help fight back.
