Entertainment Weekly Released New Pictures for Beauty and the Beast

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNL chapter.

If you have not seen the new pictures from the 2017 live action Beauty and the Beast movie, stop reading this article and get yourself on Entertainment Weekly’s website stat. If you have already seen them, then good for you for staying on top of things. Like a typical 90’s child, Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite movies growing up. It’s one of those classics that everyone loves and those who do not appreciate it get appropriately judged.

I cannot tell a lie though, when I first heard Disney was making a live action version I was pretty hesitant about it. I mean the first one was already a piece of magic and if I wanted to see the story unfold again I could just pop the movie back in my VHR and relive my childhood. Yet with every new releasement that Disney offers about the new film, they win me over a little bit more. First of all, Emma Watson as Belle is a beyond perfect choice for casting. She’s smart, kind, and impeccably pretty. You know, like a real life princess. Entertainment Weekly provides the first pictures of the Beast as well. I loved that they went with a slightly different interpretation for his appearance. It will be interesting to see what they make him look like before the big famous dance scene. We shall see.

Overall I think Disney is killing it with this live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast. It comes out in 2017 and I expect fantastic reviews.
