Winter has arrived, and unfortunately, below freezing temperatures have too. However, winter is the perfect time of year to curl up in bed with a warm baked good (really any time of the year if you ask me) while watching you favorite TV show or longingly staring out the window wishing for sun. Lucky for you, I’ve compiled a list of some of the best desserts you can bake to get you through these dreadful months. You won’t make it through this post without craving at least one of these delicious desserts!

If you ask me, a brownie is the best dessert to eat in the winter. Chocolate-y, soft, and perfectly sweet – these are the perfect treats. This recipe especially, from Sally’s Baking Addiction, makes some of the best brownies I’ve ever had. As long as you don’t over bake them, they will come out perfectly!

Next on the list (probably a close second to brownies) are seven layer bars. These are the best when you are craving basically every kind of candy bar plus coconut. You can basically just throw everything into the pan and into the oven and you’re done! Quick and easy, and too yummy not to make. (And this recipe with the rolo on top, I mean come on).

Third on the list but number one in my heart are these peanut butter blossom cookies. There never has been and never will be a better combination than chocolate and peanut butter. And these cookies do the best job of beautifully combining the two into a masterpiece. This recipe makes 20 cookies – try your best to not eat all of them at once.

Last (and probably least [who wants healthy dessert??]) is the healthy alternative if you want a baked good without the calories. You just can’t beat an original homemade dessert, but if spring break is already on the mind, these little nutella cakes are too cute not to eat. And you can’t pass up nutella. Only around 80 calories for one.
