As a recent transfer to the University of New Hampshire, there are a lot of lessons I’ve learned in a short amount of time!

What I have learned so far is how to balance the amount of classwork I have with the amount of relaxation time I choose to take. The way I have been able to budget this time effectively is by designating three types of activities for myself a week that already fit into my schedule.

These categories are: staying active, relaxing, and having fun.

  1. STAYING ACTIVE

Since physical health is as important as maintaining mental health, I like to make sure I workout as often as I can! My schedule allows for going on the Stairmaster three times a week at the on-campus gym.

  1. RELAXING

I also like to make sure I give myself time to relax and focus on things that are not school-related! I like to do this by working on crafts throughout the week just before starting my homework and watching a TV show. The TV shows I am currently rewatching are VEEP and Gossip Girl!

  1. FUN!

On weekends, I take advantage of my Saturdays by planning outings and adventures with my roommate. This is another way for me to take a break and not be laser-focused on completing work and studying all the time. This past weekend, my roommate and I went up to Maine this weekend and visited Kennebunk and Biddeford Pools. This gave me a chance to enjoy nature and soak up the last of the warm summer weather!

I'm a Junior History Major who loves working out, Kendra Scott and 2010s tv shows!!
