Youtube has become an incredibly large platform for all things beauty. I personally spend a good amount of my free time (all of my free time tbh) watching beauty videos, all ranging from fashion, to makeup, to skincare. I have found a handful of influencers who I really enjoy watching and I know there are millions of options out there so here are my top five favs!
5) Amanda Ensing
The main reason I love Amanda is because of her down to earth story of how she got to be where she is. She comes from a small town in Tennessee and was going to law school when she decided to pursue a career in beauty full time, which resulted in her choice to leave school. Everyone in her life told her she was making a mistake but she followed her heart and knew what was right for her and followed her dream to make it her reality.

4) Casey Holmes
Casey does an amazing job incorporating fashion into her channel and has even created an online boutique, Rosie Daze, with the cutest pieces ranging from swimsuits to sunglasses. Casey also gives you insight into her everyday life (with videos such like “Shop with Me”) which makes her very relatable and gives off the feeling that she’s right there talking to you like normal BFF’s.

3) Nicole Guerriero
Especially around this time of year Nicole does a stand up job with her channel. Her skill and creativity put together are remarkable, she produces the most amazing Halloween makeup. Her other makeup tutorials are also very helpful and informative. Nicole branches out and does many unique and colorful looks which are so intriguing to watch, while most other influencers stick to more “wearable” looks.

2) Kathleen Lights
Kathleen is just so likable and the kind of person who you would just want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with. Her videos are always so real and genuine, I highly trust her product recommendations because I know she would never just say something for the sake of saying it. She also addresses mental health issues such as her anxiety and depression, and is very open instead of pretending since she is a famous makeup artist, her life is perfect.

1) Jackie Aina
There are no youtubers quite like Auntie Jackie. She’s your hilarious cool aunt who always takes you shopping to get the high end good stuff, but also shows you how to get a killer bargain. She gives great reviews on products showing both pros and cons and explains why she feels the way she does about a product. I couldn’t talk about Jackie without mentioning the phenomenal job she has done bringing light to the racial issues in the beauty industry and voicing the fact that women of color need be more heavily included in shade ranges and other areas of beauty.
