Top 10 Romantic Comedies

Nothing beats a night in with the girls watching a great movie. Next time you’re unsure of what to pop in the DVD player, choose one of these ten and you won’t be disappointed. These are the best of all the cute, yet hilarious, love stories.

  1. How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days: Matthew Mcconaughey alone is enough reason to watch this movie, but his and Kate Hudson’s remarkable chemistry make it great. It will make you laugh the entire time, and it never gets old no matter how many times you watch it. Plus, it gives you some great tips on how to shake some clingers!
  2. Along Came Polly: Ben Stiller and Jennifer Anniston are hilarious in this movie. Stiller is so awkward and tries so hard, you can’t help but to root for him!
  3. There’s Something About Mary: This is another movie in which Stiller tries so hard to win over the girl, and Cameron Diaz is hilarious and beautiful as always. It was filmed in the 90’s, making it even funnier with their style and humor.
  4. Forgetting Sarah Marshall: This romantic comedy is a bit more recent than the rest on the list, but it earns its place with its great line up of actors and hilarious scenes (the naked break up, Russell Brand just in general, the vampire musical… the list goes on and on).
  5. Just Go With It: Adam Sandler is funny as always, but in a different way than in classics like Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison. The story line is quite predictable, like most romantic comedies, but Sandler and Jennifer Anniston get themselves into the funniest situations through their web of lies while they try to “just go with it.”
  6. Valentine’s Day: This movie is interesting because, while there are multiple story lines with each character, they all connect to one another in the end of the movie. It shows the everlasting love of an old couple, but also the love felt by a young boy. Everyone can relate to this because it incorporates all the stages of love and romantic relationships.
  7. He’s Just Not That Into You: Much like Valentines Day, this movie weaves together many different character’s story lines. It is jam packed with many great actors and actresses such as Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Anniston, Bradley Cooper (yum!), Scarlett Johansson, and Ben Affleck. By showing all of the ways females and males play games with one another and over think every interaction, it is such a relatable movie.
  8. The Wedding Singer: Although the clothes in this movie may have gone out of style, this movie never will. Adam Sandler is hilarious as always, and it has the best soundtrack (especially with the cute old women rapping).
  9. Never Been Kissed: This is another obvious classic with Drew Barrymore. She plays such a sweet, innocent woman who has never been kissed (obviously). The movie follows her journey to not only get her first kiss, but to become confident in her own skin and realize the great woman she is.
  10. 10 Things I Hate About You: Heath Ledger… enough said.
