It’s officially fall—the season of changing leaves, falling temperatures, and pumpkin spice. One of the best parts of an autumn evening is curling up with a blanket, a warm drink, and a good TV show. But with so many options, what should you watch? I’ve compiled a list of my top five shows with the best fall vibes that are guaranteed to make the perfect seasonal binge.

Gilmore girls

Quintessential autumn energy.  Stars Hollow, the fictional town in which the show takes place creates a cozy atmosphere filled with leaves crunching, town festivals, and endless mugs of coffee. The loving mother-daughter relationship between the main characters, Lorelei and Rory, features a witty, warm dialogue full of playful banter. The show features many fall themed episodes from Thanksgiving to fall fairs. It is practically an ode to autumn.

Pretty Little Liars

This show thrives on secrets, nighttime stakeouts, and a close-knit friend group navigating danger at every turn. The suspenseful episodes are perfect for a chilly fall evening. Famous for its annual Halloween specials, PLL doubles down on autumn vibes with creepy storylines and stylish fall outfits. It’s equal parts cozy small-town life and spine-tingling suspense.

Anne with an E

Prince Edward Island doesn’t disappoint in the fall. The scenic landscapes in Anne with an E showcase golden fields, crisp air, and foliage so rich it feels postcard-worthy. The show follows Anne, a spirited orphan, as she navigates friendship, growth, and love in a world full of cozy domestic moments. Adapted from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s literary classic, it carries a timeless, fireside-book feeling—perfect for when the nights get longer.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Dark and witchy, this is autumn television at its finest. Based on the Archie comic and the ’90s hit, this reboot follows Sabrina Spellman, a teenage witch born on October 31st. From spell casting and candlelit rituals to foggy forests and vintage Halloween style, every scene screams classic Halloween. If you’re looking for a mix of gothic visuals, supernatural drama, and cozy horror, Sabrina delivers.

The Vampire Diaries

Mystic Falls, with its gothic small-town feel, is the perfect fall setting. The show’s shadowy forests, eerie histories, and grand old houses capture autumn’s moody side. Throw in vampires, witches, and werewolves, and you’ve got the ultimate supernatural romance. With storylines unfolding around school dances, town traditions, and Halloween parties, The Vampire Diaries has shaped fall fashion and fandom culture since 2009, and it’s still a go-to rewatch every fall.

Whether you’re in the mood for cozy comfort, small-town drama, or supernatural scares, these shows capture the essence of fall in their own unique way. Be sure to give them a try!
