A Thank You Letter to My Mom

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there especially the ones we are not able to celebrate with but know are always looking down on us. This Mother’s Day I’m thanking all the moms out there because mothers should be celebrated everyday, not just today.

Mom, thank you for being the best role model a girl could ask for. Especially when I complained about the littlest things that always felt like the biggest things. You have always been there to keep me sane. I don’t  say it enough, but I would be lost without you.

Thank you for always teaching me the right from wrong. Your constant guidance has taught me so many things over the years. Whether it was deciding what I want to do when I grow up or choosing the right outfit to wear to a party, your guidance has always taught me the way.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Your love truly inspires me. You always know the right words to say when I’m sad and how to quickly cheer me up. Thank you, for sending me an “I love you” text message, just because. Whenever I’m having a bad day you’re the first person I call and you always pick up. Thank you, for reminding me I am always loved.

Thank you for always telling me the truth. You are my biggest supporter and always tell me the truth even when I do not want to hear it. Sometimes the truth hurts but I know you always have my best interest. I know I can always look to you for advice because you will tell me what to do and that’s what I love about you.

Thank you for being my biggest fan. Growing up, you never missed one of my games or my school achievements. I could always find you in the crowd with a huge smile on your face. Your constant support has helped shape me into the person I am today. Rain or shine, I know I can always count on you to be there and it is the best feeling in the world.

Thank you for being my “go to”. Whenever something is bothering me or I have a question concerning school, boys, friends, work, sickness, or cooking, you always know the answer. You continue to surprise me by how much you know. Your intelligence truly amazes me.

Thank you for always putting me as your first priority. You are truly the most selfless woman I know. You have always made sure I was taken care of before yourself. You never think about yourself and continue to put your children first.

Thank you for always being so strong. Your strength has shown me I can overcome an obstacle thrown my way. Your determination to never give up has inspired me to always keep moving forward. Thank you for being strong even when you did not want to be.

Thank you for being my best friend. You were my first friend and have turned into my best friend. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you. I am the luckiest daughter in the world to have a mother like you. Every time I’m with you I’m thankful and reminded of how great you truly are. You are my entire world. Thank you for all the memories and being the glue to our family.
