Maintaining a year long tan in New England proves to be a challenge as soon as the cold months begin approaching. Many girls turn to tanning bed for long lasting effects, but the truth is over the counter products can be just as effective and less harmful. Here are four things you can do to keep that sunny and 75 glow:

1.     Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint; $35

When applied, this product starts off gold and gradually darkens over a couple hours to create a natural looking tan. This lotion can help even out a preexisting tan or darken a pale base color.

2.     Body Drench Quick Tan Sunless Tanning Mist; $9.95

Looking for a low maintenance tanning aid? This mist lasts for an average of two days so daily application is not required. When the mist is applied to your skin, instead of the  typical “fake tan” scent, the aroma of coconuts surrounds you.

3.     Fake Bake Self Tanning Mousse; $12.95

This mousse is known for easy application and blending with any skin tone. The mousse element produces no streaks and is sweat resistant.

4.     Contouring; varies

This is the new and upcoming way to produce the illusion of being tan. Contouring is all about enhancing facial structure and highlighting face shape to bring out desirable features.
