You have the tickets to a summer music festival, but now comes the hard part: the outfit. If you’re adventurous, you might try one of J Lo’s hoop earrings in your nose like Kendall Jenner sported at Coachella. However, if Kendall’s (harry) styles are too much for you then you might choose to tone it down a bit to the more subdued throwback looks that have made themselves popular at festivals this year.
The Jenner sisters have proven themselves queens of Coachella, with their causal yet show stopping outfits. Styles this year can be linked back to Woodstock, giving off a “free-spirit” and “flower child” vibe. To achieve this you must have one of the following: a floppy hat, a cropped vintage band tee, high wasted shorts, or John Lennon-esque sunglasses. Cowboy boots, rompers, the “all-american” denim look, and showing some skin were also big hits at Coachella. Bottom line: short shorts, short shirt, and long flowy wraps or sweaters are a must-wear to one day of your festival.

The Jenner sisters aren’t the only ones who rocked it out this year. Vanessa Hudgens stepped right out of East High and into the hearts of fashion fans across the globe. Hudgens wore one of my favorite looks: the flower crown, with her natural curls. Flower crowns add a fun and flirty twist to your outfit, and keep hair under control, even on the hottest days.

Above all else, remember: you’re going to a music festival. Comfort is key. Don’t wear something you’re going to constantly be fixing, or a skirt so short that a summer breeze could cause a wardrobe malfunction. Wear whatever you’re comfortable to dance for days in and have fun!
