Street Style: Meet, Annah Todd

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

What year are you?

I am a sophomore.

 What is your major?

I am a journalism major with a minor in architecture.

Where do you work?

I work at the Denimrack in Portsmouth.

What are you wearing?

Steve Madden wedges, Hudson jeans, BCBG leather jacket, white t-shirt from Gap (underneath), silk hand-woven scarf from a family friend (purchased in Mongolia), Louis Vuitton Alma bag, Armani watch (men’s), and a copper ring from the Brimfield Antiques fair.

What would you never be caught wearing?

Yoga pants, UGGs and toting a Longchamp.

One item from your closet you can’t live without?

Black Lucky ballet flats and leggings.

Favorite designers?

Helmut Lang, Diane von Furstenburg… and of course Karl Lagerfeld and Tom Ford… and Betsey Johnson, because I want to be able to do cartwheels when I’m 70.

Favorite go-to outfit to wear around campus?

A stolen-from-my-boyfriend Inhabit cashmere sweater, skinnies, a pair of clog boots, a Patagonia micro puff jacket, all wrapped up with a scarf and some sunglasses.

Favorite song to listen to right now?

Chocolate by The 1975 and Gold by Macklemore/Ryan Lewis

Any blogs/magazines you read/follow?

www.honestlywtf.com is great because it combines fashion and architecture – two of my favorite things.

What are you looking forward to wearing this spring?

A pair of Jeffrey Campbell “Snick” sandals that I have been eyeballing for months.

What/who are your style inspirations?

Twiggy, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne

Tips or style tricks for our readers?

I have two strong beliefs: Style is learned; not bought or innate. Less is more, but don’t be afraid to go for it.

Things I love right now:

Dark brows with minimalistic makeup. Mixed prints, especially black and white for spring 2013. Layering it on – cable knit sweaters, necklaces, bracelets. When in doubt, black is always best.
