We all have “those days”, you know what I’m talking about, those days where you either went to bed in the wee hours of the morning after finishing a 10 page paper or studying for a midterm, where all you want to do is stay tucked under the covers and wish it was a snow day. Well, until that snow day comes it’s probably best to get up. However, after the struggle of getting out of bed comes the next one as to what to wear. At this point, most people, don’t have the energy or in my case, the fashion sense to pick out something. So I have come up with some  key characteristics of looking cute but still being as comfy as possible and giving you, and myself a guide to perfecting the “I didn’t even try to look good look”.

Clothes

~ When being comfy and cute the most recommended things to wear are those comfy leggings that you either bought at Marshalls or the overly priced ones at Pink that you just had to have or, the baggy sweatpants that almost everyone has in their closet somewhere. And if you really have the energy, throw on your favorite pair of jeans that you have been holding onto for years. As for the top, a big sweater or college sweatshirt will be the perfect complement, and probably the easiest to match.

Shoes

~ Now I’m assuming that when walking in the cold weather you want to feel your feet by the time you get to where you have to go so these shoes options are the bomb dot com, well at least I think so. I recommend anything Ugg related, bean boots, or even Sperry’s/Converse will do the trick.

Hair

~  The usual mentality is to throw it up and not have to deal with it which is exactly what should be done, because some days the mane just doesn’t want to be tamed. The definite go-to hair styles would be throwing it in a ponytail, the perfect messy bun, a braid or what I constantly end up doing, wearing a baseball hat, it’s quick and easy and takes very minimal effort.

Makeup

~ Keep it simple, don’t try too hard and end up putting everything makeup related on your face, these are the days to let your skin actually breathe and to go in with just some foundation, concealer and some mascara to brighten up those gems you have for eyes. And for those girls that have contacts, put on your cute glasses that you usually keep hidden in your desk drawer and let them “see” the world. Lastly to finish off the look a pair of pearl earrings will seal the deal.
