As someone who has loved The Bachelor franchise and even had to detox from it: Here are my thoughts on Grant’s season.

I started watching The Bachelor during Ben Higgins’ season in 2016. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked. I have watched insane plot twists, crazy fights, and a lot of crying play out on my screen. I ended up getting so obsessed with the franchise that I needed to take a hiatus and detox myself from the drama. Although I missed four seasons during my break, I am back to watching in a healthy manner and ready to spill my thoughts.

I’ve heard a lot of people say Grant’s season definitely feels like a filler season and isn’t catching people like they know the producers can! I think, after Jenn Tran’s rollercoaster of an ending, it feels off to have a mellow sweet man in charge. Grant’s personality is comforting, sensual, and for sure calming. There’s really not much to grasp there and after watching this season, I truly am excited to see where everything goes.

As we near hometowns, I feel weird reflecting on the past seasons I’ve watched and comparing them to Grant’s. At this stage, I usually can get a good sense of who will be the top pick. Right now there’s Litia, Dina, Zoe, and Julianna left for Grant. I personally like Litia the best but it all seems very random. When you’ve been watching the franchise for as long as I have, you know that this is a crucial moment for Grant and really changes the outcome. Most times, the final four all make sense except for one outlier in the group. However, this season, I’m not getting any connection with any of the girls left! It is making me so confused and I can’t tell if I’m simply less interested or if Grant really is just a super mellow man.

That being said, this season feels extremely rushed and I feel as if the viewers are missing a lot. I can’t wait to see how this ends and am rooting for Litia! Deep down, I do feel as if he will end up with no one though and we may have a crazy final rose episode.
