My 5 Spring Fashion Trend Predictions

Updated Published
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

Say goodbye to your clunky Bean Boots and lumpy puffer jacket and say hello to spring 2024’s fashion trends. Here are five trends I expect to see on the street this spring.

Butter yellow

From the looks of TikTok, butter yellow is going to be the color of the season and honestly, I’m not mad about it. Pastels for spring are nothing groundbreaking, but I envision butter yellow being incorporated with more vibrant, jewel tones like cobalt blue.

leopard print

Dare I say leopard print everything? Bags, pants, flats, etc. Full transparency, I don’t really like animal prints, but I think leopard is making its way back into everyone’s wardrobe this winter and it will continue to in the spring. Not sure I’ll be partaking in this trend, though. Sorry!

Mesh ballet flats

Ballet flats are back and they’re here to stay. Recently, I’ve been seeing mesh flats like this pair from Zara which I think are a fun new take on the classic style. I don’t think these will be for everyone, but I can see them becoming mainstream during the warmer months. Let those feet breathe, girl.

Denim on denim

Denim will always be in and I think this season, we’ll be seeing a lot of jeans/denim skirts paired with denim jackets/vests/tops for a monochromatic look. I especially love it when a denim-on-denim look is paired with a colorful shoe, like the Adidas Gazelle or Spezial.

charm necklaces

I’ve been seeing more and more charm jewelry on Pinterest and TikTok and I think it’s so cute. I love the idea of customizing the charms to reflect your personality. Plus, charm necklaces are such a statement and dress up even the most basic outfit.
