Miley Cyrus breaks Vevo records September 10th, 2013 with her brand new explicit video for the song “Wrecking Ball.” What they say is true, sex definitely sells.
Miley shattered One Direction’s current holds on the most Vevo views on a music video in 24 hours. One Direction had set the bar at 10.7 million views in under 24 hours but Cyrus exceeded that number by coming in with about 16 million views.
Cyrus quickly took to twitter to thank her fans for breaking this record. As promised, Miley released her full album, called “Bangerz” track list, debuting on October 8th, 2013.
So how did Miley do it? Was it her last music video for “We Can’t Stop” that sparked interest or her less than average performance August 25th at the MTV VMA’s? Everyone seems to be asking his or her selves the same question, where did Hannah Montana go?
Everyone took to Vevo yesterday to see Cyrus’s next move. The move was nothing short of eye-catching. Miley appears extremely broken, crying, naked, licking sledgehammers and singing about her wrecked self.
You have to wonder if her parent’s rocky relationship has caused this strange behavior or if her very rocky engagement to Liam Hemsworth was the cause. Or could it just be that this was truly the girl behind the acting while on Hannah Montana.
Although this all seems weird, you have to wonder if Miley is getting exactly what she wanted. Stripping down to break records might just be her motive. What will be up Miley’s sleeve next?
