I feel like time has really flown by. One minute I’m making a list of what to pack for college, and the next I am a senior about to turn 22. What they say is true, these years really do go by fast! My whole life I have fantasized about what happens next. I am always looking forward to the next chapter without enjoying the current one. I wish moments into memories instead of trying to savor every minute. A personal goal I have set for myself this year is to live in the moment. I am constantly stressing myself out about the future, and am at a point in my life where I want to stop worrying. Senior year is finally here and I don’t want to wish it away.

The future is scary. Life after graduation holds a lot of uncertainty, but rather than dwelling on it, I am taking it one day at a time. I don’t need to know my “next move” just yet. I am learning how to be more flexible and to not constantly be worrying. I am working on taking a step back and trying to remain present. I have so much to look forward to this year that I don’t want to miss out on.

We have already been in school for over a month now, and there hasn’t been a dull moment for me. Not only have I pushed myself more out of my comfort zone, but I have also met some new friends, and made some amazing memories. I am trying to enjoy the little things each day has to offer and continue to have fun. This is the year to do it all and never waste a moment!

I hope this inspires you to also live in the moment!
