Take care of yourself!
Taking care of yourself both emotionally and physically is arguably the most important aspect of finding your confidence. Taking care of yourself physically could look like going outside on a walk, hitting the gym, doing yoga, trying a new sport, or even just sitting outside and soaking up the UV rays! Also, be sure to drink plenty of water and fluids as the weather starts to get warmer, you don’t want to be dehydrated! Taking care of yourself emotionally can look like taking time to meditate, writing in a journal, calling a loved one, and always putting yourself first.
Relax!
Relaxing and not allowing yourself to get too overwhelmed is another huge part of finding your confidence. If someone or something is causing you stress, take a step back, evaluate the situation, and figure out what is best for you moving forward. Relaxing can look different for a lot of people. Some ways you could relax are by reading a book, going to the beach, hanging out with friends, doing yoga, or even just scrolling on TikTok. It is important to spend time with yourself and leave everything else behind for a while!
Set goals!
Although finding your confidence might sound difficult, you can start by setting small, manageable goals for yourself. Achieving these goals might seem simple, but it will make you feel so much better about yourself. These goals can be related to anything in your life including health, fitness, academics, hobbies, and more!
Try new things!
Getting out of your comfort zone might be just what you need to find your confidence. Although it’ll seem scary at first, trying something new usually makes you feel better in the long run. Doing something you’re afraid of and realizing it wasn’t that bad might be one of the best feelings. This could be as simple as trying a new hobby, or sport, or even trying rock climbing or skydiving for the first time!
Accept yourself!
Finally, accepting yourself is the biggest component of finding your confidence. Don’t waste time comparing yourself to others or worrying about what other people might think. What’s important is you, how you feel about yourself, and how you treat others. Love yourself for who you are because I promise you are enough!
