“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”

Its no secret: the end of the fall semester is one of the most hectic times in a college student’s life. Between making sure your ugly Christmas sweater is just the right amount of ugly for the last weekend party and the craziness of (dare I say it) finals week, its no doubt your brain will end up in a mental breakdown or two. The library becomes your home, coffee becomes your blood, and you’re chasing sleep more than you’re chasing shots. But throughout this chaos, you have an overwhelming feeling of comfort and satisfaction knowing that ABC family is playing every classic holiday movie up until the magical day arrives. Not to mention, winter is totally sweatpants season and there’s no pressure to look great in a bikini. We’ll save the instagram model logic and green drinks for March; for now, let’s just enjoy sweatpants season and 25 days of Christmas.

Here are a few food options while you’re indulging in the movies that bring holiday spirit:

The Polar Express – Gingerbread train (or house)

Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas – Chocolate or Vanilla cupcakes with green frosting

Fred Claus – Strawberries with cool whip shaped as an elf hat

Home Alone – A whole bowl of Red and Green M&M’s

Home Alone 2 – Fruit dipped in Nutella

Miracle on 34th street – Two candy canes with a snickers on the top in the shape of a sled

Christmas with the Kranks – Snowman cupcakes

A Christmas Carol – Cheesecake with chocolate as the nose and pretzels as the ears of a reindeer

Frosty the Snowman – Christmas tree sugar cookies

Elf – candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup
