Over the summer I attended Her Conference in NYC several girls from our UNH team. Her Campus launched Her Conference in 2012 to help college women get the insights, information, and inspiration they need to conquer their campuses and their careers with confidence. The conference was filled with panels, keynotes, and workshops that focused on primarily on media, journalism, and marketing. As I was checking into the conference, we were given a goodie bag filled with coupons, beauty product samples, jewelry, and etc. I mean who doesn’t love free stuff? In the room it was filled with many girls who are apart of their college Her Campus program. It was nice to meet a bunch of girls who have the same aspirations as you and shares a commonality of being apart of a Collegiate Her Campus team. I got to listen to successful women such as Neha Gandhi, who is the vice president of editorial strategy at Refinery29 magazine and Michelle Tan, who is the editor in chief of Seventeen magazine talk about their journey of achieving their thriving careers.  And not only that, but we also got to meet and take pictures with Girl Code stars, Nessa and Carly Aquilino. The real reason why I attended Her Conference was because Chipotle was catering the event and I got to fill my bowl with so much guac for no extra charge. I have never felt so satisfied in my life after eating Chipotle. Overall I recommend every college girl to attend Her Conference because it was very informative and it was a great experience.
