Fall is in full effect, and with that there are so many things theoretically discussed to do during fall… but are those plans to make it out of the group chat? Here, I will talk about different, more attainable crafts and tasks to do during fall.
- Cozy up on a rainy day with a great book!
Reading is a true privilege that should be honored! Audiobooks, Kindle, paperbacks, hardcovers, the list goes on. No matter how you’re consuming media, it’s always best to read season specific books. My personal recommendation is Weyward by Emilia Hart. It’s a witchy book about three generations of female witches and the importance of empowerment through learning about family history.
- Make cookies with your roommates, partners, or by yourself!
Whether it’s with cookie dough from the store or made from scratch, this is a great way to bond with the people in your life. You can’t go wrong with Tollhouse ready to bake cookie dough, and if you’re up for the challenge, try this Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe!
- Heal your inner child and watch Monstober Movies!
We all know those movies were certifiably the best fall and Halloween themed movies in modern media…. embrace it! Whether it’s Girl vs Monster, Twitches, or the most classic, Hocus Pocus, cozy up with your people and get watching! Maybe even bake those cookies above!
- Pick up a new hobby! Learn to knit or crochet!
Name something cozier and more FALL than yarn crafts. Crocheting and knitting have been shown to improve self-esteem through having tangible products, increasing dexterity, and decreasing feelings of depression and anxiety (Brody, 2016). Start off with something easy like a Fun Fall Crochet Poncho.
