Go Apple Picking
Ever since I was younger, I have loved going apple picking every year with my friends or family. I try to plan at least one day each fall when to dedicate to apple picking, because it is such a great thing to do on a breezy fall day. Looking at the colorful trees and being able to eat the apples that you pick for weeks to come, always brightens my fall. There are some great places to go apple picking near Durham, like DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, or Applecrest Farm in Hampton.
Go to Emery Farm in Durham
If you live in or near Durham, I highly suggest making a stop at Emery Farm at least once during the fall season. Browsing through all of the fall themed foods and items in their shop is one of my favorite things to do on a fall day. Buying an apple cider donut and browsing in the pumpkin patches is something I look forward to each year.
Go to a Haunted House/Maze
If you ever want to get in the Halloween spirit, go to a haunted house or maze. This is such a fun activity to do in the fall around Halloween, and you don’t need to dedicate an entire day to it. Trying to get through the maze while people jump out at you in costumes is definitely an experience. Leave it to a haunted house or maze to get you in the Halloween spirit. Haunted Overload in Lee is a great place to go for a haunted experience!
Go For a Scenic Drive
New Hampshire is one of the prettiest places to be in the fall. If you live in New Hampshire, take advantage of the foliage and beautiful sights that we are so lucky to live near. Go on a scenic drive and admire the beautiful trees and mountains, before winter comes!
