As break seems to be right around the corner, people are starting to become excited, antsy, and relieved to go home after a long and stressful semester. But, you also may have a sense of sadness in leaving your friends for a month when you got so used to spending almost every day with them at college. Good news for you, you can still keep in touch and possibly even see them. Here are five ways how:

  1. Plan Group FaceTime calls:

With everyone spending time with their family, friends, and working, it can slip your mind to talk to your friends so you could set up a call once in a while to catch up. Just find a time and day that works with everyone and chat away! This can be done through platforms such as FaceTime, Instagram, Snapchat, Google Meets, or Zoom.

  1. Plan a get together day trip:

Having a lazy day with nothing to do? Why not make a little trip out with your friends? Now I know some people live farther away than others but if it’s doable, why not meet somewhere in the middle? Maybe do something festive or check out a new town! Lots of things you can do together and make it fun for everyone.

  1. Make a group chat:

Now most people already have one with their friend group, but if you don’t have one already, make a group chat! This one can be done on a platform or just messages alone too! It’s super easy and self explanatory.

  1. Send them a Christmas card or gift:

With Christmas coming up, it’s not too late to get a friend a gift to show your care, or even just a nice card saying how much you care about them.

  1. Quick catch-up voice messages:

This one is one of my personal favorites and only takes a few minutes out of your day. Voice messages are quick and perfect if you don’t have time or the place to have a sit-down call. You can do these anytime and are in my own opinion sometimes better than a text; (just because texts can come off wrong). These are great!
