As of last Thursday, March 20, spring has arrived. While it may not seem like it outside, spring is here and I am SO excited. Here’s to putting winter behind us, and moving on to warmer and brighter days. Even though Mother Nature hasn’t caught on quite yet, here are a few ways that I am getting in the spirit of spring!

1. Switch up your wardrobe

For me, my outfit reflects my mood and if I look good, then I feel good. Now is the time to start to put away your winter clothes and start getting out a few spring/summer pieces. I know that the weather can still feel chilly, so instead of getting out the skirts and short sleeves, hold off for now and wear warmer, but spring colored clothes! Think pastels, anything that makes you happy and gets you looking forward to flowers blooming. By no means do you have to buy a whole new wardrobe, but you could go shopping and buy a cute sweater or shirt that gets you in the spirit.

2. Make a playlist

Sometimes, making a fresh new playlist can be just what you need to feel all the spring vibes. When I think of spring I think of Nancy Meyers romcoms, and pop music, so I took to Spotify and curated a new list of feel-good songs.

3. Freshen up your space

Spring is a great time to do some decluttering and “spring cleaning.” If you’ve been meaning to clean your room, or wash your sheets, now’s the time! To liven up your space, get a bouquet of flowers to put on your desk or nightstand or light a spring candle. If it’s warm enough, open your windows to get some fresh air inside and to hear the birds chirping.

4. Put on a spring Movie

Whether you want to watch a cozy romcom or a nostalgic kids movie, here a few to rewatch (or see for the first time) this season: Notting Hill, Peter Rabbit, A Bug’s Life, Pride and Prejudice, A League of Their Own, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and 10 Things I Hate About You just to name a few.

5. Head to pinterest

To cultivate your new spring vibe, head on to Pinterest to make a new board. Whether it be for outfits, lifestyle, or recipes, find what makes you happy. Maybe find some cute spring themed wallpaper for your phone, or find a bunch and make a collage for your phone or laptop using Canva.

The days are beginning to get warmer and the sun is feeling stronger! I hope you found some of these methods helpful to say goodbye to winter and say hello to spring!
