As the weather gets warmer and everyone’s itching to be outside as much as they can after being cooped up all winter. Us ladies need to not forget about our studies! Finals are just around the corner and this is the perfect time to take advantage of the perfect spring weather and get stuff done! On this beautiful campus, there are various locations where you can soak in the sun and study for your courses. Fresh air and working minds go hand in hand this spring season so choose your time wisely and get those A’s and Vitamin D’s!

T-Hall Lawn

Of course, there is the ever so wonderous and beautiful T-Hall Lawn. Right in the middle of campus on Main Street, there is the large area of grass in front of the trademark the University of New Hampshire sign that students utilize to study, read, play frisbee, and much more. With areas of both sun and shade you can study, study, study and catch some rays.

Back of the MUB Porch

Just ate at HoCo or Union? Just had a meeting with your org group? Need to check your mail? Still, need to study or do homework? Get your yummy lunch, leave your extracurriculars, pick up your packages, and then head outside to the back of the MUB where there’s plenty of seats to rock your favorite sunglasses while you write that final paper!

Outside Breaking New Grounds

If you enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown and need to energize with a delicious coffee, hit up Breaking New Grounds, get caffeinated and stimulate that brain. You’ll be sure to see 4 or 5 people you know traveling down Main Street and not to mention the cute dogs on their walks! With plenty of food places right next door, you can grab a bite to eat and get a tan and bring up your grades!

Murkland Court Yard

Of course, when it is 75 and sunny you would much rather be outside the library than in it. Around that area and don’t wanna be staring out the window of Dimond fantasizing about the warmness? Head right outside to the courtyard outside of Murkland and the library and hang out with your books, notes, and flip flops as spring keep on springing!

Mills Quad Area

Live at the Mills or any of the dorms around there? The Mills Quad Area is a large grassy field where you can lay out a blanket, kick off your shoes and lounge while you read those fifty pages and highlight the important facts. Being in the sun and still doing your work does not have to be hard with lovely spots like this.

Dairy Bar Picnic Tables

Just got done pumping some iron or running that cardio at the gym? Need to wait for a bus at the Whit Bus Stop? Sit on the picnic tables outside of the Dairy Bar! Not to mention you can order a delicious sandwich to munch on for some brain food as you grind through your weekly studies. Finish that last page of your essay and then treat yourself to a yummy ice cream cone! Perfect reward.

James Hall

If you’re stuck on the side of campus closest to Pettee Hall or Nesmith utilize your whereabouts and kick your feet up outside James Hall. There is an outdoor classroom that has plenty of space to sit while you cross off your to-do list as each assignment is completed. Stroll on over to James and fuel your body with the sun!
