The Best Covers of Frozen’s Let It Go

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

Frozen has become my new obsession as it has for young girls and college girls alike. Frozen’s soundtrack is captivating and mesmorizing, so much so that covers of the hit song “Let It Go” are found all over YouTube. The movie originially produced a version by Idina Menzel, who is the voice of Elsa and also the soundtrack includes a version by Demi Lovato, enough to hit two different types of audicences. Frozen is a global phenomenon and it’s time you check out these amazing covers. (Hint Hint, the best is last)

Here’s the Original:

Obvously there is no beating Idina Menzel, but these following covers come pretty close.

The Piano Guys

Here is a mix of “Let It Go” and themes from Vivaldi’s classical piece, “Winter.” These are the guys who you want playing at your wedding..IM NOT KIDDING. Not the words but the sound of a piano and chello ..breathtaking…no other words. Just check it out. Everything in this video is not done by a green screen, it is real!

Grace Lee

She did this cover for the Ryan Seacrest Contest for a “Let It Go” cover. She won third place for this brilliant performance.

Maddie and Zoe

CUTNESS OVERLOAD ALERT, These two sisters may not have amazing singing talents, but you can’t help but watch the whole thing smiling, and laughing when they hit their yawns on point.

Elizabeth South

Elizabeth South also entered into this contest for Ryan Seacrest and her cover of “Let It Go” proved to be the best and she was awarded first place. Ryanseacrest.com helped discover 25 YouTube singers who covered the song. Fans Choose their favorite and after watching the video we can see why!!

SamTsui

Here is a “Let it Go” and “Let Her Go” by Passanger mix. This guy gets extra points for a brilliant mash-up of Disney fabulousness and a wonderful Indie ballad. He’s adorable face and beautiful voice doesn’t hurt either.

Alex Boyé (Africanized Tribal Cover) featuring One Voice Children’s Choir

…OK HOW OLD IS THIS GIRL???? NO matter how many times you listen to this, you’ll still be blown away. In the beginning of the movie Frozen, the first song, “Frozen”, has a really cool Hungarian beat to it, this cover really reminds me of that.
