Have you ever had a hard time coming up with a plan for a date night or don’t always have enough money to go all out on a fancy dinner? Well, you’ve come to the right place. While these ideas will be mostly targeted for couples, you can 100% use these for friend dates or family dates! These are also all COVID-19 friendly! Thank you Emma Porter for sponsoring this article :)

1. Beach/Park Picnic

Price: $0-$15

Scout out your favorite location whether that be a park, beach, lake, wherever you can enjoy the outdoors. Bring a blanket, a towel, or some chairs depending on where you’ll be. Pack a bag with your favorite snacks such as chips and salsa, carrots and hummus, or perhaps a salad, whatever your vibe is. You can also grab takeout from your favorite restaurant (my pick is sushi or pizza)! To make it even more special, go around sunset and watch the pretty colors appear in the sky as you sit together enjoying each other’s company.

2. Nature Walk or Hike

Price: $0-$5 (depending on if your hiking trail accepts donations)

Exercise while spending time outside! Research your area’s best hiking/walking trails and head on over! Depending on how long the trail is, make sure you pack some water and snacks. This is a great way to get those steps in while spending quality time with your loved one.

3. Make Your Own Recipe

Price: $0-$15

Brainstorm your favorite recipes and try making them from scratch without following a recipe! See what you have in your fridge or go to the grocery store and grab some ingredients. This is a fun way of testing your cooking capabilities while making a (hopefully) yummy meal! You could also turn it into a cooking competition by making two different recipes and comparing the two (think Guy’s Grocery Games).

4. Movie Night

Price: $0-$5

Grab your favorite candies, popcorn, and put on your favorite movie! Make a fort with blankets and pillows and cuddle up to your boo (or BFF) and have yourself a night! My favorite movies include 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless, The Invitation, Scream, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Just Go With It, Legally Blonde, The Departed, and Pretty Woman. You can also play your favorite card games during the movie if you’d like!

5. Fast-Food Hopping

Price: $10-15 depending on where you go

Not old enough to go bar hopping or not enough money to go restaurant hopping? Try fast-food hopping! Get a different item from each of your favorite fast-food places and create an entire meal for two! Perhaps get your french fries from McDonalds, nuggets from Wendy’s, burger from Five Guys and dessert from Dairy Queen.
