I’ve been on the hunt for a fabulous pair of fall boots for a while now.  After saving all my pennies for a pair of Frye boots, I’ve been questioning; are they really worth all that money??  I’ve been toying with the idea since senior year in high school.  Well, it’s senior year in college- why can’t I make up my mind!?  If you’re in the same boat as I am, I’ve complied a list of four alternatives, as well as my favorite Frye’s! Enjoy!

Corso Como Racie Tall Riding Boots
Price: $199.00
These are a great example of crisp, fall boots.  When looking at them, I immediately picture skinny jeans, loose comfortable sweater and a scarf.  They can be worn to class, out to dinner or even out on a Tuesday night! (We all know heels on a Tuesday are never a good idea).  The coffee color compliments colors ranging from gray to red to dark green.  I give them four stars.

Etienne Aigner Chasity Boots
Price: $189.00
Rumor has it, these boots are currently at TJ Maxx for a lower price.  If so, I’d consider that a steal.  I particularly love the black/banana bread leather mix, but they can be found in many different colors.  By the reviews, they are rated high in comfort and style- two components that rarely go hand in hand.  I found them on Zappos.com because, hey, who doesn’t love free shipping?

Hans by BCBGeneration
Price $179.00
These Frye lookalikes are adorable.  They are clean cut and classy.  You can pair them with leggings and an oversized sweater or jeans and a Polo button up.  They are very versatile.  My favorite part is the 2” heel which secretly slims your legs (can’t hate that).  I found these on piperlime.com – where they have free shipping and returns!

Restricted Gallop Riding Boot
Price: $64.95
I clearly have been off my online shopping game because DSW has a WEBSITE!  When I found this out, I immediately browsed the boot selection.  I came across these boots and at first I was a little hesitant but I love the Brown color.  These boots will definitely stand out because they differ than the basic brown leather boots. DSW.com offers free shipping too!

Dorado Lug Riding by The Frye Company
Price: $468.00
I saved my favorite for last, and obviously the most expensive.  Even though they are so expensive, they literally last forever.  My mom even has a pair from her youth (a looong time ago)!  These boots are crisp and classic.  The double buckle provides a little detail that differentiates them from others.  The 1 ¼” heel is great to give your leg a little lift but not too much.
