It’s the beginning of November and we’re starting the holiday season, as well as fast approaching the weeks of finals. It is a time during which we all have to juggle the stress of school alongside the fun of holiday traditions and time with friends and family. If you are looking for a bit of relaxation among all of the busy moments, here are 5 female YouTubers that feel like a breath of fresh air amid the stress.
1. Kate Brock
Kate is a fellow college student attending school in Canada. She makes weekly vlogs in which you can follow along with her day, see her morning routines, get outfit ideas and styling tips, and see how she navigates life in school. Her videos feel so peaceful and artistic, and she has a very dry sense of humor that makes every vlog fun to watch.
Iwana (pronounced Ivana) and her boyfriend Adam live together in the UK and make the most wholesome, silly videos ever. Their motto is “For the plot”, and their videos follow along with their lives as a model and an actor. The vlogs mainly consist of them trying out various activities “for the plot”, to make their lives more interesting and keep them off their phones, such as hiking across the countryside, baking while blindfolded, and decorating their house. They are such a genuine and loving pair of people and it shows through in their videos, which I watch whenever I need cheering up.
3. Ava Jules
Ava is a YouTuber from Hawaii. She makes weekly day-in-the-life vlogs where she takes us with her to the gym, surfing, and cooking, and she makes a lot of seasonal or self-care vlogs as well. Her content is so relaxing and down-to-earth, and I would highly recommend if you like adventurous, outdoorsy, productive videos.
Madeline is a comfort YouTuber in the sense that she is extremely unfiltered and makes long videos of herself chatting to us from her car, podcast-style. She has a lot to say on a lot of topics and I find her videos really interesting to listen to while cleaning my room or getting ready in the morning. She blends personal topics with discussions of media, news events, and mental health advice. Some of the titles of her most recent videos are “love vs. limerance”, “how to rage bait a man”, and “everyone is lying about their lore”.
5. Carys Rachel
Last but not least is Carys Rachel. She makes short camcorder-style videos themed around the season in which she’s in. Her videos feature really calming music and artistically shot scenes, and she will often sit in front of the camera with a cup of tea and talk about life and what she is experiencing. It feels like being sent videos by or being on FaceTime with a friend.
These YouTubers are some of my favorite of all time, and I hope they can help bring some calm to your life in the busy weeks ahead!
