One step up from sweatpants, yet maintaining the same level of comfort, joggers have come to be the perfect in between.

We have all had those days where we’ve wanted to roll out of bed and head to class in our sweats. And we’ve all had those days where we actually do roll out of bed and wind up in class in our sweats! However if you’re trying to avoid sweats every day, Monday through Friday but don’t exactly feel like throwing on jeans or leggings on everyday then joggers may be your answer.

They’re a great alternative to leggings because they’re just as comfy to wear and just as easy to style. But, the difference comes where you are able to dress them up or down, depending on the look you’re going for. (Admit it, ladies, no matter how hard we try, sadly there’s a limit to the leggings.)

We’ve been having some pretty confusing weather in Florida lately (what else is new?), and it’s nice to have those pieces in your closet that can go with whatever Florida throws. Whether you layer your outfit, or throw on a tank and a pair of Chucks, your look will come together nicely, and you can have it off of your mind for the rest of the day.

For styling tips, as always we’ve looked to Pinterest, our absolute go-to. But, we’ve also enlisted in the help of YouTuber Jenn Im.

Joggers actually aren’t just made to be sweatpants’ upgrade. They’re made in different fabrics, prints, and styles that can taper to whatever look that you’re going for. We’ve seen silk, denim, and even leather.

Relaxed, laid back, easy looks are a must sometimes, especially in the upcoming weeks. (Can someone say Mid Terms?) And for times that call for a little more, we’re glad that joggers can be a quick fix.

Have fun, collegiettes!

My name is Maya Dartiguenave, and I am a senior at the University of North Florida. I'm a communications major, with a focus in public relations. Reading, writing, anything to do with words is what holds my true interest, which is why I'm so happy to be a part of Her Campus! I'm so excited to have started UNF's chapter of Her Campus! While I claim to be a Florida girl for now, my heart belongs to Philadelphia, always. (Go, Eagles!) I hope to move away from Florida after graduation, work my way through grad school, and begin my career in publishing. The future is definitely going to be an adventure, and I can't wait for it!
