With nearly a full sleeve of tattoos, this week’s cutie was a bit intimidating, but completely intriguing. And when we sat down to talk to him, we realized what a sweetheart he was. We’d love to say “just in time for Valentine’s Day,” but turns out he’s already got one!

JT: Black or yellow. It’s a tie. 

HC: Spontaneity or routine? 

JT: I enjoy spontaneity. I love never knowing what the day will bring.

HC: Unlimited money or love? 

JT: Love. 

HC: If you knew you would die in one week, what would you do?

JT: Spend time with my family and eat as much as I could. 

HC: What type of girl are you attracted to? 

JT: Any type. [I go for] more of a natural look, any color. Just have a good personality!

HC: What was the weirdest date that you’ve ever had?

JT: This girl and I went out on a date and she didn’t order food. She just wanted to eat bread with mustard.

HC: What makes you smile in life?

JT: Food, family, friends. And just having a life. 

HC: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

JT: I’m lactose intolerant, but if I wasn’t, I would eat Butter Pecan daily.

HC: Who was your first crush?

JT: A girl named Chelsea from my high school.

HC: What are your ideas about true love?

JT: True love is really caring about someone. Changing your life to make the other person’s better. Raising them up and placing them in a better life situation.

JT: Falling up the gym stairs. Twice. In two steps.

HC: What’s a habit that you’re proud to have gotten rid of? 

JT: Biting my nails and eating too much.

JT: I would change world hunger, and make food free.

JT: My mom, because she raised me and still will do anything for me.

My name is Maya Dartiguenave, and I am a senior at the University of North Florida. I'm a communications major, with a focus in public relations. Reading, writing, anything to do with words is what holds my true interest, which is why I'm so happy to be a part of Her Campus!
