Campus was quiet Thursday afternoon as students slowly made their way into Trask Coliseum to watch the game against Duke. Trask played the game on the big screen and served pizza before the start of the game. Entering the coliseum was an uproar of cheers as UNCW started off strong snatching points left and right leaving Duke speechless. UNCW finished the first half ahead of Duke 43-40.

After halftime UNCW slowly fell behind and Duke took the lead to the final score of 93-85. Students were buzzing about the incredible game and the amount of school spirit shown around campus the entire day. I even noticed how many people were wearing school t-shirts and painted faces, which is extremely rare here.  UNCW has not made it to the NCAA since 2006, but overall had an incredible season even after the loss. I think it is safe to say that many students are looking forward to next season. Go Seahawks!
