Tyra Banks is Back and Better than Ever!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCW chapter.

My skin is clearing up, my stress has dissolved, and I feel awakened and blessed because Tyra Banks has just announced that she is coming back as the host of America’s Next Top Model for Cycle 24!

After the news was announced Banks released a statement saying, “I’m overwhelmed and humbled by the intensity of the ANTM fan base whose deep affection for the show led me to have a change of heart. After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that remaining behind the camera wasn’t enough because ANTM is woven into my DNA.”

After the show was canceled in 2015 by the CW, the world went months without the inspiring words from the Queen of Smize herself about confidence and girl power until VH1 picked up the show up and premiered it at the end of 2016. ANTM was revamped with a new host, Rita Ora, and a new panel featuring supermodel Ashely Graham, the Creative Director of Paper magazine Drew Elliot, and image architect of the stars Law Roach.

Cycle 23 ended with the shocking reveal that the youthful India Gants was America’s Next Top Model beating the boss-woman Tatiana Price. Even though the competition was based on the hopes that the models can build a brand for themselves mirroring Bank’s success with her cosmetic line, the panel saw more success in Grant.

There is no set date for the premiere of Cycle 24 nor the rest of the panel but with Tyra Banks back we already know it is going to be amazing!
