Downtown Wilmington has always boasted a vibrant night life and a diverse music scene, which adds to the city’s tourist attraction in the summer. But even as the days get cooler and the tourists head home, the live music of the city keeps bumpin’. Every night offers dozens of artists at a great selection of venues, and sometimes it’s hard to decide which ones to check out! Here are a few handpicked suggestions out of the many shows coming to us this fall!

 

The Southern Belles of Richmond, VA

October 30th at The Whiskey 

The Southern Belles have a mellow, country meets jazz sound as well as a great stage presence. Originally from Virginia, the group is currently touring the east coast, making sure to stop through Wilmington. They’ll be playing at The Whiskey on Friday, October 30th. It’s sure to be a great performance!

 

Dubtown Cosmonauts

October 31st at The Calico Room

Looking for something to do Halloween night? Stop by The Calico Room to hear a local band, the Dubtown Cosmonauts! This psychadellic rock band is known for putting on a lively show and knows how to keep an audience engaged and entertained. There’s nothing more fun than experiencing the talent of musicians from your own city!

 

Pepper, with guests Ballyhoo! and Katastro

November 2nd at Ziggy’s By The Sea 

Groove to Pepper’s reggae rhythms, and it’s easy to pretend summer isn’t really over! Originally from Hawaii and now based out of San Diego, Pepper is a succesful reggae rock band that tours all over the U.S. Catch them Monday, November 2nd, at Ziggy’s By The Sea. You’ll be glad you did!
