Name: Katrin Vosogh, but feel free to call me Kavo. I usually don’t react when someone is calling me Katrin

Year: 1992, the year of the awesome and the glory and the year of the monkey.

Hometown: Heilbronn aka Heilbronx in Germany

Major: Education

Relationship Status: Single

Kavo is an exchange student from Germany studying at UNCW this spring. She is a friendly and vibrant person and her friends describe her as extremely quirky, hilarious, and absolutely adorable. Read on to hear about some of Kavo’s awesome and funny experiences in the U.S. and at UNCW.

HC: What’s a perfect date like for you?

KV: Pick me up, bring your dog, take me out for pizza or burgers, don’t make me go to a club. I don’t really care as long as I can hang out with a dog! Going to the beach? There are a lot of things to do in a city close to the beach…It would be fun to camp at the beach, maybe roasting some marshmallows. All in all: DOGS, yes, CLUBS, no.

HC: What’s your favorite thing about being a student at UNCW?

KV: Eating wraps at Wag! And the campus in general. German universities are not as beautiful as UNCW and we do not have wraps in our dining-halls. What a shame!!

HC: What’s been your most awkward moment at UNCW so far?

KV: Almost being killed by someone on a long board, getting lost on campus three times in a row (…on the same day…), and clapping at the end of class when the professor stops speaking. Why did no one tell me that you guys don’t do that!?

HC: Where’s Waldo?

KV: I hope he’s not behind me cause that would be creeeepy… and awesome.

HC: Hobbies?

KV: Traveling, writing, drawing, watching Friends, and not going to clubs. Meeting friends, cooking, walking my dog… and not going to clubs.

HC: What or who is your spirit animal?

KV: Hmm.. I would like to be a little monkey. I love nature and trees and as a monkey I could live in the trees and eat the whole day and I could use my feet as hands

HC: Female Celebrity Crush?

KV: I’ve got two! The Olsen Twins. Who else? I would get married to both of them. Right now!

HC: Favorite Quote?

KV: ”Why do you have to break up with her? Be a man. Just stop calling.” – Joey (Friends)

”The only thing I learned that night was that maybe I should have stayed home” – Carrie Bradshaw

HC: What’s been your favorite thing about America so far?

KV: I love the food, I love the people, y’all are sooo nice! I also love my apartment and my roomies, but my favourite thing about America is my mentor. She’s hot and she’s named after a continent. How cool is that?

HC: If you were a Disney Princess, who would you be and why?

KV: Cinderella, of course! Because I know that good shoes can change your life! ..duh!
