Goodbye, October. Hello, November.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCW chapter.

After the tricks or treats, the basic costumes, the pumpkin carvings, the spooky decorations, and the Halloween candy, comes the best month of the year, November. To many, it seems as if November is just a bridge between the two greatest months of the year, but I am here to tell you that this bridge month just so happens to be the best month and here are 5 reasons why.

1. The Fall Foliage

While the leaves officially start changing colors in October, it’s now in full force. So take a look around you because the beauty of all the crisp colors this season has to offer is finally among us!

2. Sweater Weather

It’s finally time to break out the warm clothes! The air feels fresh with a nice cool breeze, which perfectly pairs with all your comfy sweaters, sweatshirts, scarves and boots.

3. Daylight Savings

It only makes sense that the best month of the year would get an extra hour and this extra time of sleep or activity certainty comes in clutch after a fun filled Halloweekened!

4. Thanksgiving

Arguably the greatest thing about November is Thanksgiving, a holiday full of family, friends and food. What’s better than getting to spend time with your family, taking a break from all your classes, giving thanks, and stuffing your face with some good old turkey and pumpkin pie?

5. The end of the semester

The beginning of November indicates the semester is officially coming to an end. It marks the calm before the storm of finals week. Only 5 more weeks of classes, before Winter break, which means Christmas cheer is oh so near.

So Goodbye, October. November, we’re ready for ya.
