HC: How would you describe your style?
SB: Wild, outdoorsy… anything comfortable, really. Sometimes athletic, I guess.
Spencer is sitting across from me and sporting rolled green khakis and a gray, cotton tee with a flannel thrown overtop. He’s also wearing Chacos on his feet.
HC: What are some of your favorite articles of clothing?
SB: T-shirts, khaki pants, and my Adidas track pants. I also like to wear woolly jackets or pullovers when it gets colder outside.
HC: Do you have any favorite brands?
SB: I like Columbia, Chaco, Adidas, Nike. I’m not too picky.
HC: Where do you like to shop?
SB: I’m not much of a shopper, but when I do, it’s usually somewhere like Plato’s Closet where I know I’ll find good quality clothes that are inexpensive. Not to mention it’s good for the environment to buy secondhand.
Spencer works for UNCW’s Seahawk Adventures and can often be found hiking, leading kayaking trips, camping, or somewhere near the mountains. His style reflects his love for the outdoors and is functional for every activity he partakes in. He truly pulls off the “mountain man” look, but when relaxing at home or going to class he opts for the most comfortable clothes and pulls off simple outfits with ease.
