With the approach of cooler weather, it’s time to break out the sweaters and enjoy the fuzzy warmth of these beloved knitted items.  With all of the different types of sweaters that are around these days, you’ll definitely see one of these types around campus, or even own one. Here are 5 types of sweaters in the fall and a little about what’s so great about them.

The Tunic

This sweater is the perfect length to wear with a pair of leggings and walk out the door to class, errands, or hang out with friends. Usually, it’s slightly oversized to get sleeves that bunch up at the wrist to create the ‘sweater paws’ effect. This is often the one you wear when the nip in the air turns to a chill and it’s getting closer to winter and you need to add some layers to warm up.

The Cloud Yarn

No one knows exactly what material this sweater is made out of, but it is heavenly soft! This is the sweater you tell your friends to feel because it’s so soft. This sweater can be any length or style, but, no matter what, it’s the first sweater you gravitate towards on a nice chill afternoon while sipping some tea or hot cocoa watching Netflix.

The Comfy Casual

This sweater is the staple of the wardrobe. It can cruise between a wide variety of looks from fashion-forward to I-have-to-be-in-class-in-5-minutes-and-I-just-woke-up rush. It pairs well with everything, and everyone is always giving you compliments on it. This sweater is the quintessential vibe of your wardrobe. You have the website bookmarked where you got it from, so when it starts to show its age or the first tear appears, you’re ready to grab another.

The Pattern

The previous sweaters can all have patterns, but a lot of sweater patterns can be subtle. This one is not. This sweater is that loud print that you wear when you’re filled with confidence and your whole day is good. This sweater isn’t quite as versatile as the others, but when you have that outfit that it works with, it works!

The Forever One

This sweater could be anything, from one of the previously mentioned sweaters to your old high school sweater to one you got while on vacation. Regardless, this sweater is one that, no matter how many holes or tears it gets, you are not getting rid of it. This one holds a lot of memories, and putting it on is like taking a piece of home with you. You wear it when you don’t mind if it gets a little stain because it’s gotten plenty before, and it’ll wash right out. This is the forever sweater.

I hope you all enjoy this fall weather and live in sweaters for a couple of months!
