Plan out your week – This requires a calendar, if you have a hectic life you most likely already have one. If not, you can find free (and cute) printable calendars on Pinterest. I like to sit down on Sunday’s and jot down important things going on in the upcoming week so that I already have an idea of what needs to get accomplished.
Use your time wisely – This one can be super hard with all the distractions that come with life as a college student. It can be even harder when you’ve had a rough day and just want to do nothing. Nonetheless, there is work to be done! Keep that in mind when heading out to class or work. Make sure you pack your laptop, a class assigned novel, textbook or any upcoming assignment so that you can give them attention during downtime…if you ever get any of that!
Isolate yourself – This is something we all have to learn to do eventually. Removing yourself from major distractions is the key to productivity. Everyone faces times when they are tempted to hang out with their roommates, go on a shopping trip, or get stuck binge watching Netflix with bae but don’t let these things slow you down! Learn when to allow yourself to relax…or learn to multitask.
Find time to relax – Although there is always something to do, there are times where you need a break to allow yourself to come back to reality and see that there is more to life than submitting assignments, working and making deadlines. If you’re not someone who gets to relax often, then make sure you go big when you do! Treat yourself to an occasional spa day, day of nothing, or even a day trip with friends.
