Galentine’s Day is for the Girls

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNCG chapter.

Listen up ladies! Guys will come and go but you’ll always have your girls so instead of being upset that that guy didn’t buy you chocolates or a bear, celebrate Galentine’s Day with your glorious she-warriors. Galentine’s Day is becoming more and more popular, so why not take advantage of it and do fun things with your friends? Here are five fun ways to celebrate your friends!

If you are balling on a budget, you can always order pizza and play games, cause who doesn’t love pizza and Cards Against Humanity? No one.

Or Chinese. Chinese is also the go-to.

Now, if you are still wanting to stay home, you can always have a wine night! But rather than just sitting around drinking wine, you can have your very own wine and design night! Head over to an art supply store near you, buy canvases, paints, and paint brushes. Then grab a bottle of Rosé and enjoy the rest of your night!Another stay at home idea, is a spa day! Or if you would rather have someone pamper you, you can always head to a spa. Why stress about guys when you can relax and hangout with your gal pals? It’s a fun and relaxing way to forget about your problems and focus on pampering yourself, because girlfriend, you deserve it!

Now, if none of those suit your fancy, and you’re wanting to go out and do something fun, without having to drink, I have a solution for you. Go bowling, rollerblading, or even go play laser tag! By the end of the night, I can promise you that the memories you made through the night will for sure be ones for the books.Lastly, if you’re up for a long, crazy night, have a girls night out on the town! Get dressed up, take cute pictures, and have fun with the girls!

Galentine’s day is about being with your friends and showing how much you love one another and cherish their friendship. As long as you and your glorious she-warriors are together  having fun, at least you know you are doing something right.
